KARACHI, May 30: Lawyers and judicial staff boycotted legal proceedings at the Sindh High Court and subordinate judiciary in protest against an attack on the life of a judicial officer on Wednesday.

Shortly after an attack on second judicial magistrate (east) Syed Zaheer Ahmed Naqvi in Gulberg on Wednesday morning, the Sindh high court, Karachi and Malir bar associations announced the boycott of court proceedings.

The undertrials brought to the city courts and Malir district courts were taken back to prisons as hundred of cases fixed for the day were adjourned following the attack.
