Actress and TV presenter Reema and her husband Dr Tariq Shahab recently hosted a reception for their friends in Lahore after their marriage in November in the United States.
The couple looked venerable. What impressed me the most was the couple’s preference for one-dish dinner which is against the normal practice in Lahore.
The other important feature of the function was its local touch. The couple, though fabulously rich, had a simple setting for the reception.
The simplicity is laudable in an otherwise ostentatious environment.
