Much ado about Nothing! People do not choose an Airline by the uniform of air hostesses. They choose it for service; both on the Ground and in the Air. After the Late Air Marshals Nur Khan and Asghar Khan, PIA was subordinate to corruption aglore; hence the decline. I had been a PIA passenger up until 1985 without complaint. Now, I will be willing to pay twice as much to fly Emirates, Ittehad or Turkish. In fact, I did fly Turkish from DHAKA to KARACHI to LOS ANGELES this February 2012 as a very happy customer and I do not even remember what the Air Hostess's uniform looked like but I do remember the excellent service Turkish provided.

Interesting to see how the first costume (shown in B&W pic) was the most modern looking and then it progressively becomes more and more conservative. What's the next stop … flight attendants in burkhas ?

Richard Branson is the only person who can modernice PIA. Having said that since 2001 i have always had good experience with pia. Flights always on time (in fact 30-15 mins early last year arriving at heathrow.)

As a fashion student and a frequent traveler… taking various airlines I find PIA's uniform probably worst of all. It's an unattractive fit and simply boring and now I know where it all started… Almost anything wrong with this country… big or small leads to Zia's regime.

I think the uniforms worn by Emirates air hostesses are a good example with heads covered but yet modern. The latest trend shown here looks very drab.
