Hail to Ajoka Theatre for winning the Otto Award for Political Theatre 2012 at Broadway’s Castillo Theatre. Shahid Nadeem received the award and in his acceptance speech said that artistes and thinkers from Pakistan and the US should have direct contact with each other and not leave matters to governments of both countries.

Later, he was interviewed by noted theatre director Dan Friedman who asked Shahid N about the challenges that Ajoka had had to face during the course of almost three decades of its professional life. Way to go, guys!
