QUETTA, June 2: Two Levies Force personnel were killed on Saturday when armed men attacked a check-post in the Jhao area of Kharan district, sources said.

The unidentified attackers, who were on a pick-up, opened fire on the checkpost, killing the Levies men on the spot. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Omar and Rasool Bakhsh.

A Levies official said a search operation had been launched in the area. “We are investigating the incident,” he said.

ACCIDENT: Two people were killed and three others injured when a car overturned in the Khanozai area of Pishin district.

The injured were admitted to a hospital.
