Speaking on point of order in National Assembly, the minister said; “I state unequivocally that I have only one nationality and that is Pakistani nationality.”

Sheikh said, “I never sought the nationality of any other country therefore the question to have dual nationality does not arise at all.”

“I am a born Pakistani, I shall remain Pakistani and shall die as a Pakistani,” the minister added.

He also stated that he only has a Pakistani passport and would prefer to have it till his last breath.
