KARACHI, June, 5: Senior Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy Pir Mazharul Haq has praised the role of non-governmental organisations in the field of education and said that no one could deny their efforts.

He was speaking at a ceremony regarding handing over of SB Fatima Girls School, Garden, to an NGO, Zindagi Trust, on Tuesday.

He said that the standard of government educational institutes was not in any way lower than those of private educational institutes.

“However, we need teachers who honestly discharge their professional duty. I strongly believe if teachers perform their duty honestly our province could be on top in the education sector.”

He said that currently there were 47,000 government institutes in Sindh.

He said that government and non-government educational institutes were not rivals and they could achieve their targets with mutual cooperation.—PPI
