LAHORE, June 7: Two alleged robbers were killed in a ‘shootout’ with police near the Home Economics College, Gulberg, early on Thursday.

Ghalib Market police said they signalled two motorcyclists to stop, but they opened fire at the police vehicle and fled through the road along the drain. The police chased the suspects who lost control over the bike and fell. They tried to run away taking cover of fire at police. The police also retaliated and killed the suspects. Policemen escaped unhurt in the crossfire.—Staff Reporter
