QUETTA, June 11: Three passengers were killed and at least 30 others injured on Monday when a bomb fitted with a motorcycle ripped through a coach near Dringer area on the Quetta-Taftan National Highway.
The bus was going to Noshki from Quetta, police said.
“The target of the bomb attack was passenger coaches carrying pilgrims to Iran via Taftan,” a senior police official said, adding that two coaches remained safe, but a third was hit by the bomb.
The sources said that terrorists had parked the motorcycle at the roadside near Dringer area.
“Three passengers were killed in the powerful explosion,” Mastung Deputy Commissioner Shah Irfan told Dawn.—Staff Correspondent
