CNG strike deadline extended
ISLAMABAD, June 13: The All Pakistan CNG Association (APCNGA) on Wednesday extended the deadline of strike for one day as the future course of action would be decided after talks with the petroleum minister scheduled to be held on Thursday (today).
The meeting with petroleum minister Dr. Asim Hussain was to take place in Islamabad on Wednesday but it could not be held due to the cabinet meeting.
There is no official communication about the Thursday’s meeting however the representatives of the CNG association stated that the petroleum minister called them on Thursday to resolve the issue.
While talking to the newsmen on Wednesday, APCNGA Central Chairman Ghiyas Paracha said that they wanted to take up various problems with petroleum minister including CNG price difference with petroleum price, the proposed Cess issue, gas load shedding and long-term supply of gas to the CNG sector.
Mr. Paracha said that after the talks with the petroleum minister, the APCNGA central executive committee would meet to discuss the outcomes of the meeting.
