KARACHI, June 13: The body of a young man was found in Kunwari Colony on Wednesday evening, police said.

Manghopir SHO Chaudhry Saeed said that the trussed-up body was found near a marble factory in the area. The man had been shot in the face.

The police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. Later, the body was moved to the Edhi morgue for want of identification.

The bodies of two young men were found at a deserted place in Sahib Dad Goth early Wednesday morning, police said.

They said that the bullet-riddled bodies were found in the area on the link road between the Superhighway and Steel Town.

The victims had been shot multiple times.

Quoting some eyewitnesses, Memon Goth SHO Rao Khalid said that some people came to the scene in a jeep and a car, threw the two men there and fired at them. They then fled.

Later, the police shifted the bodies to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for medico-legal formalities. Till Wednesday night, the victims could not be identified and their bodies were kept at the Edhi morgue.

‘Stray bullet’ kills PAC man in Lyari

A man said to be an activist of the defunct People’s Amn Committee was gunned down in a Lyari locality on Wednesday.

The Kalakot police said that the body of Owais Baloch, 25, was brought to the Civil Hospital Karachi by a rescue service. He had suffered a fatal bullet wound.

They said that he was a resident of Nawalane Street No 9 and was an active member of the proscribed PAC.

The police said that Mr Baloch was manning a roadblock or a picket set up against the police in Nawalane Street No 5 when he was hit by a stray bullet.

Till late in the night, no FIR in connection with the killing was lodged at the Kalakot police station.
