ISLAMABAD, June 14: Pakistan Tehrik-i-Insaf (PTI) in its yet-to-announce manifesto came up with a novel idea of treating all the segments of political divide including the minorities on the par.

PTI said that the party included this clause in its manifesto to fulfill the ideals and guidance of the father of the nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

The Quaid had declared on August 11, 1947 that the religious minorities would not be turned into a political minority.

This aspect has fully been given consideration in party’s manifesto which has been completed and may be announced soon.

A senior PTI leader and party’s defence affairs spokesman Brig (retired) Simon Sherif said this while speaking at a news conference at the party secretariat on Thursday.

He said that the party chairman had especially tasked him to bring all the religious groups on one platform.

A minority leader of Gen. Musharraf’s All Pakistan Muslim League Hanok Bhatti announced joining the PTI on the occasion and expressed his determination to help destroy vested interests through ‘tsunami’ adding that only Imran Khan could save the country from the worst political crisis.

Brig. (retired) Simon said that there was no political minority and he was tasked by Imran Khan to bring all the minorities on one platform and set up minority wing in the party in accordance with its manifesto.

Mr. Simon flanked by party leaders Col. (retired) Younas Ali Raza, Justice (retired) Khalid Sheikh, Amir Mughal etc said that the PTI would wage a tough struggle in the days ahead to end the system based on coercion.

He said that Imran Khan was ready to face the hardships in his war against corruption and his workers were right behind him in this sacred fight.
