PESHAWAR, June 14: A taxi driver allegedly committed suicide after killing his two brothers and injuring mother inside their house in Badbher locality here on Thursday over a trivial issue of washing a taxi.

According to Badbher police, the three brothers exchanged hot words inside their house over washing of a taxi by one of them, Dilawar Khan, who got infuriated and opened fire with his pistol on his brothers.

“Mr Dilawar, 32, was washing his vehicle inside their house at about 6am and his brothers were asking him to do this outside the house,” the police quoted an eyewitness as saying about cause of the clash.

During the course of arguments the accused, Dilawar, opened fire and killed his two brothers – Dad Mohammad Khan (45) and Noor Ali Khan (30) – while their mother Ms Zarkesha, who tried to resolve the matter, also sustained a bullet injury.

The police said that Mr Dilawar shot himself dead after killing his two brothers. The villagers took the seriously injured brothers to the hospital, but they did not survive. Their injured mother was taken to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment where doctors said that she was in a critical condition.

Another source claimed that the accused Dilawar had also killed his father about 12 years ago over a petty issue and always created problems for his family.
