In its first year, Ellemint Pret has opened its door to promising young fashion designers seeking a credible foothold. “We started with 15 designers and the number has now gone up to 25. It is very heartening to see young designers establish their brand name in this competitive market. After all, they are the future of Pakistan’s fashion industry,” said Afreen Shiraz.

A fashion presentation featuring Sana Sarfaraz, Emma, Amsa and Nadia Baloch saw the models walking down a staircase to a make-shift ramp flanked by fashionistas, socialites and media. The girls displayed both casual and prêt line by the designers. The colour palette comprised bright yellows, cobalt and tangerine conforming to the season.

“It’s all about bright hues this season with no staid and pale shades. Fabrics with a soft, summery feel are being used by most of us here,” said designer Leena. The models displayed one dress by each designer.
