KARACHI, June 20: Former provincial minister Syed Umeed Ali Shah passed away after a long illness here on Wednesday.

A handout says that Mr Shah was the elder brother of Sindh Minister Syed Ali Nawaz Shah Rizvi.

Funeral prayers and burial will take place on Thursday at his ancestral village Syed Bhoral Shah in Tando Allahyar.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah expressed sorrow and grief at the demise of the former provincial minister.—APP
