HYDERABAD, June 20: The family of a missing man demonstrated at the press club on Wednesday for his immediate recovery.

Rafiq Bhutto, father of Asif Bhutto, told journalists that his son was picked up by policemen in civvies from his house in Jamshoro Thermal Power Colony on May 16. He was dragged and beaten before being whisked into a vehicle, he alleged.

Rafiq Bhutto expressed fear his son might have been murdered, saying that he had received threatening calls after filing a case in the court of District and Sessions Judge for Asif Bhutto’s recovery.

He said his fears had grown after the discovery last month of the bullet-riddled body of Muzaffar Bhutto, a leader of the Jeay Sindh Muttahida Mahaz, since “we are close relatives”.
