Well done Shamshad Akhtar .The nation is proud of you and your calibre . Forget abour the present government in Pakistan,the people in there are bunch of illetrates and corrupts. So how could they admire you?Keep doing good job,if possible do something for Pakistan also.Best of luck

It's a shame that the Pakistani Ploitics does not allow its talented ones to solve Pakistani problems. They are all forced to or attracted by foreign or international institutions to put their talenst into actions.

Isnt it the same lady that musharraf government bestowed honor on and isnt she the one that showed economic figures that most pakistanis reject in their hate for the former president. If she achieved great milestones in the former government of PM then why did the whole media and political parties still blames the current economic mess on the previous government I still fail to understand. As a youth who grew up in the musharraf Era and got educated on a scholarship of HEC and after that found one of the best jobs that market had to offer I have all praise for PM and his economic team including Dr. Shamshad may the good times visit us back again. Ameen

Good luck to Shamshad Akhtar in her new job.
I am at a loss to understand that while UN, WB, ADB rank her so highly, yet people like Shamshad Akhtar , Salim Raza and Shahid Kardar were not tolerated by Yousuf Raza Gilani and others? What a shame to loose such excellent professionals to outside agencies.
I hope things will improve in our homeland now!
