A thought provoking critique. The article adds new dimensions to the series of upheavals that have and are taking place in the Middle East. The world has become a global village and the lead players in order to maintain their dominance poke noses in to others' matters. Mr. Jawed has produced an excellent critique that lists out the major stake holders and the role media is playing today, be it US, UK, India or Pakistan. With a plethora of scandals of media personnel erupting every other day, it becomes the responsibility of an upright, duty-bound and balanced media person (especially a journalist) to muster facts, possibilities, historical references and conjectures about future events to enlighten the world with listing all the predictable future happenings. Mr. jawed has produced a well organised script. It doesn't only help us in broadening our mental horizons but gauging the global politics. As for those who think that it's a conspiracy theory, it needs to be understood by the example of a soldier whose duty is to protect and defend his land so analogically it becomes an obligation of a journalist to explore the unexplored through knowledge, prudence, brainstorming and a sense of critique.

That itself depends on how much stock do you put in the legal system in question. Can a Muslim get a fair trial in India? particularly if he is accused of of anti-state activity? After all we are talking about a judicial system which has declared Narindra Modi an innocent man.

What about " Innocent til proved otherwise" ? i mean he is just an accused, nothing is proven against him, he can ran for any election in India there are hundreds if not thousands accused elected official in India and if you look at the history of conviction in India may be he will be exonerated. Anyway reporters shall be supported more vigorously at this particular time as their are very high chances that people in power may try to silence the daring reporter with theses sort of charges. well the business of reporting is as such that you may have contact with every element of society. so we should support the reporter (media) as it is the fourth pillar of democracy. Off course if convicted he shall be treated accordingly but until convicted he is innocent
