KARACHI: At least five people, including two policemen, lost their lives on Sunday in violent incidents of Karachi, DawnNews reported.

People protested on Maripur road after two people were injured by firing of unidentified men. Traffic and the business activities in the area remained paralysed.

Unidentified men opened fire on the police officials during snap-checking near 'Nagan Chowrangi' in the area of North Karachi. Sub-inspector Wazir Ali and Constable Rashid lost their lives in the incident. Their dead bodies were taken to Abbasi Shaheed hospital.

A tortured dead body was found from the area of 'Pak colony' near ‘Mewa Shah’ graveyard. According to the police officials the dead body was a few days older.

Two hand-tied dead bodies were found from the bushes in the jurisdiction of Manghopir police station. Police officials said that both men were kidnapped and tortured before they were killed.

A man, named Aslam, received bullet wounds near Baldia graveyard. The man succumbed to his injuries and passed away.

A dead-body of a woman was found in the area of Bahar Colony.
