NEW DELHI, June 28: Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India, Babar Amin, has invited Kashmiri leaders to a meeting in New Delhi on July 3.

The meeting of Pakistani officials with Kashmiri leaders has gained signifi- cance  in view of the secretary-level talks between India and Pakistan scheduled to be held early next month.

Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai will hold talks with his Pakistan counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani in New Delhi on July 4 and 5 to discuss peace and security, including CBMs, Kashmir and promotion of friendly exchanges.

Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, the chairman of the Hurriyat Conference, confirmed that he had received an invitation from the Pakistan High Commission.
