NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, July 1: A woman was killed after she refused to give her daughter’s hand in marriage to a youth in the village of Deedar Rind near Mehrabpur on Sunday.

Five gunmen entered the house of Sajan Rind and shot Ms Hasina, wife of Sajan, dead while she was asleep.

Sajan Rind and her brother Deedar Ali Rind told reporters that Suhbat Khan Rind had demanded the hand of Ms Momal, 21, for Sohbat Rind, but Hasina refused and got her daughter married to Ghulam Hussain Rind of Tharushah on June 20. This, they alleged, angered Suhbat and his relatives and they killed Hasina.
