KARACHI, July 2: Karachi Kickers beat Drigh Road Union FC (Shah Faisal Colony) 5-2 on penalty kicks to qualify for the semi-final of All Karachi Dr S.M.A. Shah Challenge Cup Football Tournament at Korangi Gymkhana Football Ground here on Monday.

The winners had to be determined through penalty kicks after the score line remained deadlocked at 1-1 during regulation time.

Karachi Kickers led 1-0 at halftime when Akmal scored for them in the 21st minute. Still they failed to lead in the second half as Drigh Road Union equalised through Noman in the 47th minute.

Later, Karachi Kickers won the match 5-2 in the penalty kicks round. Akmal, Tahir, Abdullah and Faisal Madni utilised the penalties for Karachi Kickers while Drigh Road Union’s striker Noman was the only one to score for them.—Sports Reporter
