BERNE, July 3: Switzerland picked senior internationals Diego Benaglio, Valon Behrami and Timm Klose as over-age players in their 18-man squad for the London Olympics, and left out Bayern Munich forward Xherdan Shaqiri.

Midfielder Fabian Frei is the only player selected from Swiss champions FC Basel, who are involved in Champions League qualifying rounds that clash with the July 25-Aug. 11 Olympics football tournament.
