SUKKUR, July 5: A teenage girl was killed by her brother on the pretext of karo kari in the village of Khero Indhar near Pano Akil district here on Thursday.

Reports reaching here said accused Ali Hassan Indhar, son of Ali Khan Indhar, shot his sister Lal Khatoon, 18, dead for allegedly having illicit relations with one Farzand Indhar of the same village.

Later, the accused surrendered to police along with the pistol. Farzand Indhar had escaped after the girl was killed.

Suicide: A married woman committed suicide by taking pesticide over some domestic dispute in the village of Ayoob Leghari near Mirpur Mathelo district Ghotki on Thursday.

According to local people, Salma, wife of Kaleemullah Leghari, was fed up with torture by the husband, therefore, she decided to end her life.
