KARACHI, July 6: Dawn’s Wedding Extravaganza 2012 will open at The Ball Room at Carlton Hotel here at 11am on Saturday.

In recognition of the extravagant and well-planned weddings that are an inherent part of Pakistani culture, the Wedding Extravaganza like the past years, this year, too, will be a major exhibition carrying all the aspects of planning a memorable wedding.

Besides showcasing exquisite latest trends in bridal fashion, it will also include jewellery, boutiques, dress designer labels, bridal wear specialists, watches, fashion accessories, parlours and salons, cosmetics and make-up, skin and body care products and services, bedding and furniture, curtains/upholstery, carpets and rugs, wedding cards, and wedding planners and coordinator stalls.

A traditional Pakistani wedding is a grand colourful occasion requiring months of planning and preparation. The sheer number of weddings held each year makes it an absolute necessity for couples and their families to plan the special day in a unique and interesting way while keeping up to date with the latest trends in clothes, make-up and jewellers.

The emphasis will be on the elaborate trappings of the traditional Pakistani wedding and it being held just ahead of Ramazan with the wedding season in full swing also makes it the perfect time for holding the exhibition. The Wedding Extravaganza 2012 will be open from 11am to 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
