By now you must’ve heard that his last hit number, Bumm Phata, a groovy take on Pakistan’s socio-political scenario, has been officially made part of the soundtrack of a Hollywood film titled The Reluctant Fundamentalist. The movie is based on Mohsin Hamid’s celebrated novel and is being helmed by none other than Mira Nair. If you’ve read the novel, you would know why the song has been included in the film.

Mira Nair is a seasoned director, and given the subject of Mohsin H’s book, it is quite likely that the movie is thought of an Oscar contender (whenever it gets screened, that is).
