JHANG, July 7: Six passengers were killed and 59 injured, 12 of them critically, in a collision between two buses here on Saturday early morning near Wijhlana Village on Jhang Bypass.

A Dera Ismail Khan-bound bus (JB-2411) collided with another bus (KD-55) while overtaking a truck near Wijhlana on Jhang Bypass.

As a result two people were killed on the spot while four others succumbed to their injuries at Jhang DHQ Hospital.

Three of the deceased have been identified as Abbul Hameed of Muridke, conductor of one of the buses, Ijaz, and security guard Ali Hasnain. Of the 59 injured passengers, 12 were shifted to Allied Hospital Faisalabad in a critical condition.
