Agreed. Why is it so difficult for people to envision a concept of Islamic welfare state? It is simply a state that is not secular but follows social welfare policies based on aggressive taxation and high social sector spending on human resource development. Even if people disagree with the contours of it, at the least it will be much better than our prevailing model of national security state.

Ok , but what is the point ? Other than that Pakistan was the first in many things amongst muslim nations , no thoughts of why you think it will work .
