PM Ashraf leaves for Saudi Arabia on two day official visit

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf on Sunday left for Madina on a two day official visit to Saudi Arabia.

This was his first official foreign tour. During his stay in Saudi Arabia he will call on King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz and discuss matters of mutual interest.

PM Ashraf will also perform Umrah. He  will also offer condolences with the King on the sad demise of Crown Prince Naif.

Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Shah was accompanying the prime minister.

Talking to media representatives before his departure at Chaklala Airbase the prime minister said that he will discuss matters of mutual interest and cooperation in different sectors with King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz.

He said that Saudi Arabia is a close friend of Pakistan and we attach great importance to our relations with Saudi Arabia.

He said that overseas Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia are contributing a lot for the development of the Kingdom and the country.

The prime minister said he will also meet the Pakistani community there.
