KARACHI: Awami Tehrik chairman Ayaz Latif Palijo on Sunday said that people of Sindh will not allow anybody to divide the province and that Sindhi and Baloch people will not live in fear anymore.

Addressing a public rally at Gabol Park, Lyari this evening, Palijo declared, “We are against the MQM and its policies, not the Urdu speaking people.”

He said his party wanted a Pakistan where orders were not taken from foreigners.

The AT chief criticized the PPP saying Rehman Malik, who had run away after leaving Benazir Bhutto behind in danger, was appointed Interior Minister.

"He had also run away from Karsaz after a bomb attack on Banazir arrival rally but the people of Lyari did not leave the ground and stayed there for their leader," Ayaz Palijo said.

He condemned the PPP government for deploying 4,000 policemen to stop today's rally.

Lauding the services of Uzair Baloch for Lyari, the Awami Tehrik leader said Uzair Baloch is the man who protected Lyari.

Speaking on the occasion, Uzair Baloch said: “Our fight is with the enemies of Pakistan.” A large number of people participated in the rally.

The Karachi administration had blocked all the routes leading to Red Zone to halt the participants of the rally from marching to Governor House and Chief Ministers House throughout the day.
