LAHORE, July 16: State Minister for National Harmony Akram Masih Gill asked on Monday his party (PML-Q) parliamentarian Riaz Hussain Pirzada to stop criticising the party leadership.

In a statement, Mr Gill said Mr Pirzada forgot that the PML-Q had always given him honour and position which he did not deserve.

He said Mr Pirzada had lost his senses for not getting the ministry and issued anti-party statements. Mr Gill said Pirzada was denied the ministry because he was not loyal to the party. “Our colleagues had time and again pointed out Pirzada’s doubtful loyalty to the party but it was the leadership’s greatness that his activities were ignored,” he said.

Mr Pirzada developed differences with the Chaudhrys of Gujrat after he was not given ministry in Raja Pervez Ashraf’s cabinet. He is reportedly in touch with the PML-N.
