It is indicated that 3 wind turbines are producing 6MV, however there are 5 wind turbines of 1.2MV each out of which 1 is out of order. this means currently 4 wind turbines of Zorlu energy, combined producing 4.8MV now a days.
Those of you who liked this must also see Planning Commission info graphics on the Frameworg for Economic Growth done a few months go. I recommend Dawn should use them for discussion on economi growth and growth policy. Got to pc.gov.pk to see them.
Very well presented…. Terrorist activities and its impact on Pakistani society and economy, US Pakistan relations should also be prepared in same fashion… Its a great start by DAWN… Daily Guardian have given a similar interactive map of ARAB SPRING…
Solar as well Wind turbine energy should be pursued to it optimum limits. Both have enormous potentials in southern parts of Punjab, sindh and Balouchistan. Bold initivates are required on part of the Government to provide leverage to privates investors. One wind turbine is capable of generating 1.5 megawatt to 10 megawatt of clean energy.
Well done Dawn. Excellent work. Please do under take such like studies in other fields social, cultural, industrial and how to reform education.
Well I'm Civil Engineer working on First ever private 49.5MV Wind Power Plant By FFCEL in Jhampir, the project is about to complete in next month, only electrical work is pending.
However, Zorlu Energy is working on about 56.4MV wind farm and civil work is complete while mechanical and electrical work is on its way.
On the same footings, 100MV Wind Power Project is started this month in Gharo and would take 9 month to complete.
very good illustration and explanation about on-going crisis of energy…well done Dawn
Dame and nuclear power plant required.
Alternative Energy is negligble compared to the potential of Solar and Wind Power !!! Lack of planning & vision, and mismanagement I guess.
How come domestic consumption is greater than Industrial ? Does it include commercial / industrial connection on Domestic rates ?

DAWN! Keep it up….
Excellent work
i think your comment is abyssmal
WE NEED TO BUILD MORE DAMS AND NUCLEAR POWER PLANTS.
where is the generation capacity, i also want actual figures for generation capacity, not just percentages.
