QUETTA, July 17: Some terrorists on Tuesday gunned down two people and injured another in Mastung in what police said was a case of target killing while two people fell victim to bullets fired by gunmen in Quetta and Jhal Magsi areas as orgy of violence continued in Balochistan.

Four people were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Turbat and Kalat areas of the province on Monday.

Police sources said that some unidentified terrorists riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate fire in Mastung on three people who were on way home. The firing left two people dead on the spot while the third one was injured seriously.

The dead were identified as Ghulam Hussain and Noor Mohammad and the injured as Amanullah.

Police termed the incident a case of target killing. They said they rushed to the site of the incident and took bodies and injured to the district hospital in Mastung. The gunmen escaped from the scene after firing.

In Jhal Magsi area, a man identified as Shah Mir was shot dead.

Police said the deceased was on his way to a bazaar when some armed men opened fire, killing him on the spot.

Levies sources claimed the cause of the killing was an old enmity.

One man identified as Obaidullah suffered a bullet injury in his home and died.

Police said that the man was sitting in his home when a stray bullet fired from an unknown direction hit him and he was killed.

“The man was killed on the spot,” Levies officials said, adding that the body was handed over family after post-mortem.
