ISLAMABAD: Property tycoon and former Chief of Bahria town Malik Riaz once again excused from appearing before a joint investigation team, DawnNews reported.

Riaz was expected to appear before the team on July 30.

Earlier, Sindh high Court (SHC) granted a four-week protective bail to the Riaz in a 1400 kanal land corruption case against the bond of one million rupees.

The case was heard by Justice Farooq Channa of SHC.

An anti-corruption court on Tuesday ordered Riaz’s arrest.

Speaking to media representatives after the hearing in the SHC, Malik said that he had trust in the judiciary and requested that he should also be given a chance for fair trial.

Riaz said that Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) was busy in foiling conspiracies against him.

He said that he was ready to appear in Rawalpindi’s court.
