ISLAMABAD, July 20: Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf has expressed dissatisfaction over performance of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in the provision of civic amenities to the residents of Islamabad.

He directed the chairman CDA, Farkhand Iqbal, to take immediate measures to improve the service delivery and make a comprehensive uplift plan and submit it to the Cabinet Division within two days.

The prime minister was chairing a meeting attended by the secretary cabinet, the CDA chief and other senior officials.

He directed the chairman CDA to take steps on an urgent basis for provision of clean drinking water, garbage collection, repair of footpaths, streetlights and other facilities.

The secretary cabinet was ordered to personally supervise all the affairs of the civic agency and keep the prime minister updated on a regular basis.

The prime minister asked the cabinet secretary to coordinate the affairs of katchi abadis and make an immediate plan for its development.
