Problems in approachingBanking Ombudsman
WHILE going through the mandatory prerequisite for filing a complaint with the Banking Ombudsman, the undermentioned first step needs some clarification.
“Approach your bank in writing to resolve your complaint stating in the letter that you intend to refer the grievance to the Banking Mohtasib if matter not resolved to your satisfaction.
The bank is allowed a maximum of 45 days to resolve your complaint.”
It is only in desperation that a complainant approaches the Banking Mohtasib, after his initial complaint is not resolved by the bank within a reasonable time. From the above it infers that
a second complaint should be lodged with the concerned bank, threatening them with the Banking Mohtasib option if the same is not redressed.
Several questions arise: Why the matter cannot be resolved by the bank without being threatened? Are bankers not supposed to satisfy their customers? Why are another 45 days required by the bank to resolve the issue before approaching the Banking Mohtasib?

Habib Bank, United Bank,National Bank and Bank Alhabib are real Pakistani theif.These banks have nothing transaparent therefore they try to fill their pockets up by hiding facts and information from consumers.
I have under gone such practise. My issue was that the bank authorities of Nattional Bank of Pakistan Ghotki despite fulfillment of required formalities had not only refused to advance loan against gold gold but the bank manager had also humiliated me and used derogatory remarks for me that you are not our customer but beggar. In this regard I had submitted such application to the Provincial Head of the Bank at Karachi with no response at all. therefater I had submitted an other application to the said officer with request to resove my issue within forty five days and in case of non redressal I intended to approach the Banking Mohtasib. It was not issue that loan was not advanced to me but my issue was that why Bank Manager had not advanced me loan but my issue was that why he humiliated and passed derogatory remarks for me. Accordingly I had submitted application to the Banking Mohtasib with request to initiate action regarding humiliation and derogatory remarks but the Honourable Banking Mohtasib filed my application with remarks that as it was matter of loan hence he can do nothing. My application was not perused in true perspective, with the result that the delinquent Bank Manager went unpunished. From Faiz Mohammad Memon Ghotki.
