The difference between democracy and dictatorship (or controlled democracy) is that there is no such thing owning votes. And your reference to 'gullibility of our people' shows your distaste for democracy. May be one should live in Syria to see the difference, where thousands are being killed for wanting a change. In Pakistan it can happen within a few months and that too without any bloodshed and fraud, as election commission is neutral.
Personally I do not mind who loses, as long as it is not democracy.

People are uneducated and very poor. Gilanis may be despots but they still provide some relief to the poor. The likes of Imran Khan, MQM, PML(N) just talk , and that too nonsense.

Salute to PPP!! IT WON!!! Salute to democracy! they have every right to celebrate…nobody should be able to point any finger now!!
Despite all the corruption, unemployment, massacre of country economy, load shedding, law and order havoc…failed foreignpolicies….the people voted for their choice of rulers!
These people deserve these rulers!! I think they're IN for another 5 years in the next elections!!

The analysis leaves little to no doubt that the writer represents a particular party. I mean, he has totally ignored the fact Bosan belongs to PTI and we all know that they have gained significant popularity in Pakistan. I am not a big fan of Khan but this by-election indicates that there is change in the air.

Winning by a margin of just 4k votes in an area which Gilani literally owns, is NOT a win; it's a wake up call. This tells me that come general elections, saving the historical gullibility of our people, PPP will lose big time!

Very well written. What I do not understand is that many journalists were saying that PPP government is sooo unpopular, in fact the most unpopular ever. And yet, it won. Even after 4 years of not delivering much. Living in Germany and depending on media opinions, I can say to media men, what Muhammad Ali, the famous US boxer, said after winning a formidable opponent : Eat your words.
