PRISTINA, July 24: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has expressed concern over the tense situation in Kosovo's ethnically split north.    Ban urged leaders from Kosovo and Serbia on Tuesday to engage in dialogue and resolve “sensitive and complex issue related to northern Kosovo.''

The Serb-run north rejects Pristina's rule and wants to partition Kosovo along ethnic lines. Ethnic Serbs set up roadblocks last year to prevent the ethnic Albanian government in Pristina from extending control over the region.

Ban will meet Prime Minister Hashim Thaci and President Atifete Jahjaga.
