KARACHI: Pakistan suffered a 2-0 defeat against Belgium in their warm-up hockey match for London Olympics on Tuesday.

The match was played in three sessions of 20 minutes each.

Belgium scored the first goal by converting a penalty-corner in the first session while their second, a field goal, came in the third session.

Meanwhile, Pakistan took four penalty-corners but could not utilise any.

“All is well with the team. The boys played well today as they managed to put up a much better performance compared to our match against them in Belgium last month [where we lost 6-1],” said team manager and assistant coach Khawaja Junaid told Dawn from London on Tuesday.

About the four missed penalty-corners, he said: “At least the boys showed that they can create penalty-corner chances. The rest we’ll take care of after analysing the video.”

Pakistan play their next warm-up match with the Netherlands on Thursday.
