ISLAMABAD, July 24: President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf held a meeting in the Presidency on Tuesday and discussed the power crisis in wake of the government’s failure to fulfil its promise of zero load-shedding at Sehr and Iftar timings.

“As the meeting was to discuss the power crisis naturally the issue of load-shedding during Ramazan also came under discussion,” president’s spokesman Farhatullah Babar said.

The prime minister briefed the president on measures taken by the government to address the power crisis on a priority basis and to bring the unscheduled loadshedding to an end.

Later, the two leaders discussed the political situation in the context of the National Reconciliation Ordinance case to be taken up by the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
