KARACHI, July 25: Opener Hasan Mahmood scored an unbeaten 51 to help United Bank overpower Vital Five CC by five wickets in the 27th Karachi Gymkhana PTV Ramazan Cricket Festival fixture at the KG Ground here on Wednesday.

Hasan, named Man-of-the-Match, slammed six boundaries in his 49-ball knock as the bankers achieved victory by making 135-5 in the 19th over.

Earlier, Vital Five CC failed to take advantage of a fine 71-run opening partnership between Faisal Athar (40) and Mohammad Waqas (33) before struggling to 131-6 after winning the toss.
