MINGORA, July 26: A three-year-old child died due to scorching heat and suffocation after passengers were stuck at a traffic jam as protesters blocked main G.T. Road in Swat on Thursday against prolonged loadshedding.

The residents of Shamozai and surrounding localities came on the Peshawar-Mingora road against prolonged loadshedding and low voltage blocking it near Shamozai bridge.

The road remained blocked for over six hours which led to queues of hundreds of vehicles being formed on both sides of the road.

The passengers, including children and women, were greatly troubled while sitting in vehicles for hours in scorching heat.
