KARACHI, July 27: Pakistan lost their second and last warm-up match ahead of the London Olympics hockey event 1-5 to the Netherlands on Thursday.

According to the information received from London late Thursday night, Pakistan were able to get three penalty-corners during the match comprising three 20-minute sessions but wasted all of them despite the presence of penalty-corner specialist captain Sohail Abbas in the side.

Pakistan’s consolation goal was scored by Umar Bhutta.

Earlier, on July 24, Pakistan lost their first warm-up match 0-2 against Belgium.

Meanwhile, Pakistan suffered another setback on Thursday when defender Mohammad Irfan twisted his ankle during the match and is now considered doubtful for their first match against Spain on Monday (July 30). —Sports Reporter
