KARACHI: Various incidents of violence claimed eight lives in Karachi whereas nine people were injured, DawnNews reported on Sunday.

The body of a man was found in a sack near Furniture market in Karachi’s Arambagh area early on Sunday.

Another person died of gunshot wounds in the city’s Orangi Town area.

Earlier in the morning, one woman was killed upon offering resistance during a dacoity bid in Surjani Towns’s Rozi Goth area.

Two people were also injured by the dacoit’s firing.

Moreover, separate incidents of violence claimed a life each in Karachis’s Gol market in Nazimabad area, Surjani Town and near Yousuf Plaza in Federal B area.

A three-day-old body of a policeman was found in a house in Shah Latif Town area of Karachi, who appeared to have been tortured to death.

Another person was killed in Site’s Metroville area of the port city.

Firing injured seven persons including a policeman in Gulshan-i-Ghazi in Baldia Town area of the city.
