CHITTAGONG: Mr Abdul Qadir, Pakistan’s Finance Minister, said here today that a National Income Commission would soon be formed to assess per capita income existing in the country with a view to removing economic disparity between the two wings of Pakistan.

Talking to newsmen at the Government House soon after his arrival from Dacca this morning, he said that the findings of the Commission would make the removal of economic disparity between the two wings easier. He, however, regretted that no proper data and statistics were maintained in the past….

Asked why a particular Minister was omitted from this commission’s report, Mr Abdul Qadir said that the commission followed a pattern in its recommendation which would affect all. —Correspondent
