KARACHI: Three people were killed and two others were injured in separate incidents of violence on Thursday, DawnNews reported.

Firing by unknown gunmen injured three people in Karachi’s Orangi Town area near Rehmat Chowk.

All injured were shifted to a nearby-private hospital where one of the injured succumbed to his wounds.

Moreover, two other persons died of gunshot wounds in Baldia Town No 2.

Police conducted a search operation in Karachi’s Old Sabzimandi area and took three suspects into custody, who were taken to an undisclosed location for further questioning.

Police commandoes also participated in the operation.

According to sources, the raid was conducted on a tip-off erceived about the presence of some gangsters in the area.
