Zardari writes letter to Myanmar president

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari on Tuesday expressed deep concern over the loss of life and property of Rohingya Muslims during the ethnic clashes in the State of Rakhine, Myanmar.
In a letter addressed to the President of Myanmar, the President called for hastening the process of rehabilitation of Rohingya Muslims so that they can return to their homes and lead a safe and secure life.
The President said that the government and the people of Pakistan were saddened to learn about the losses of the Muslims and were deeply concerned about their plight.
Underlining the importance of peaceful co-existence of various communities for the strengthening of democracy in Myanmar, the President said that the communal harmony was imperative to reap the fruits of democracy.
He said that only peaceful coexistence of various communities would ensure that the democratic transition was not reversed.

Deepak how about hte Killings of lower cast Hindus and the humiliations and segregation and discrimination by the hands of higher cast Hindus in India? I won't even bother to ask about the mass killings of Muslims/Christian and other in India. You first treat all Hindus in India equally than talk about our country.

All he could do is write a few meaning less words. He should have threatened them with sanctions, got the Saudis, Iranians and other Arab countries together and threatened them with oil sanctions and then pressed the UN for a resolution against Myanmar followed by sanctions.
Sorry my mistake. He doesn’t care about the Muslims in his country why would he care about Muslims in another country.
There is no doubt that he is a corrupt leader. But, this step is appreciable regardless what is happening in his own country. Cruelty must be stopped whether it is in Pakistan, Myanmar or anywhere in the world.

There is no Mass slaughter of any community in Pakistan. Churches and temples are safer as compared to mosques. Yes there are some cases of crime against minorities but it happens in every country.
