KARACHI, Aug 7: Sindh Police scored an upset five-wicket victory over fancied Dollar East to move into the last-four stage of the second State Life Trophy Vital Five T20 Ramazan Cricket Festival at the Vital Five Ground here on Tuesday.

Murtaza Majeed, later adjudged Man-of-the-Match, was the star for the policemen wit a fine 48 off 32 balls after the set a target of 157. His unbeaten innings, containing five boundaries, guided his team with two balls to spare. Opener Mir Afzal also made a significant contribution of 34 off just 14 deliveries with the aid of four fours and a brace of sixes.

Shahid Yousuf, earlier, was the cornerstone of Dollar East’s innings with a 38-ball 54 (six fours and one six), while opener Mohammad Aslam hit 41 off 43 balls with three sixes and one four.

Off-spinner Haris Ayaz bowled splendidly to claim four for 32.
