KARACHI, Aug 8: A brutal exhibition of batting from Sami Afridi enabled Khyber Greens Fata to qualify for the semi-finals of the second State Life Trophy Vital Five T20 Ramazan Cricket Festival with an eight-wicket win over Advance Telecom at the Vital Five Ground on Wednesday.

Opening the innings in the second quarter-final, Sami clobbered nine boundaries and half a dozen sixes in scoring 92 from just 37 deliveries as Khyber Greens powered home with three balls to spare.

Saeed Afridi also played a fine innings as he blasted an unbeaten 50 off 31 balls with four sixes and three fours. He helped Sami add 114 for the second wicket.

Earlier, slow left-armer Tariq Khan took three for 26 as Advance Telecom made 151-9.
