MULTAN, Aug 10: Police on Friday arrested a girl who allegedly shot at and injured the wife of her teacher for jealousy in Ahmedabad area of Bahauddin Zakariya police station.

According to police, Nazish (20), a BA student, had an affair with her teacher Jawad, who also worked in a bank.

Jawad had promised to marry her but was delaying the marriage on the pretext that his wife would (obviously) object to it.

On Friday, Nazish opened fire at Jawad’s wife Ruqayia with a pistol, leaving her injured. The injured woman was shifted to the
hospital where doctors removed the bullet from her body, terming her condition stable.

Police seized the gun used in the crime, besides arresting the girl. — Staff Correspondent
